I know that it can be hard to find your style or even hard to figure out what clothes to pair to getter. But with the right basic essential clothing items, you will have a solid base wardrobe and it will be easy for you to pair items together.
These are the 5 essential clothing items every guy needs to start building a solid wardrobe. Black jeans, white sneakers, light-washed jeans, solid-colored t-shirts, sweatpants, crewneck sweaters.
Black Jeans
You can never go wrong with a pair of nice fitted black jeans. They literally go with everything and you can wear them every day if you want to because they are a solid color with no designs or rips.
Having the right fit is important too not too back and not too tight. Nice slim fit black jeans.
Light Washed Jeans
Now that you have a pair of nice fitted all-black jeans you can now switch them up with a pair of light washed blue jeans.
These are a must. If you don’t want to wear black jeans all the time these will add a little bit of a change to your outfit.Â
And just like the black jeans, the fit for these is also important. Make sure that they are a nice slim-fit pair of jeans.
Solid colored T-Shirts
Alright, now that you have got the right pants now we can pick the tops. Having solid colored t-shirts (white, black, navy, grey) is just simple and easy to pair with your jeans.
The fit is important for these as well. Make sure that the sleeves are hugging your biceps to show them off, and make sure that it’s not tight down towards the waist either.
Sweatpants
If you’ve read my previous post on top trends of 2021 you would’ve seen that sweatpants have been becoming more and more popular and “acceptable” to wear out.
Sweat pants are a must because they are so comfortable and great for those casual days at the house or if you have some errands to run.
Make sure though that they aren’t overly baggy they should have a nice tapper at the bottom.
Crewneck Sweater
For those days where it’s a little bit cooler having a crewneck sweater is my go-to. Crewnecks are an easy way to make a basic outfit not as basic.
Especially I really like nice vintage graphic crewnecks, but I recommend getting plain colored ones first then you can experiment with other styles.
