literally, no one asked about how I take my Instagram pictures.

But it can be beneficial for people who want to learn how to take Instagram pictures by themselves.

I first heard about taking your own pictures from a video called advanced selfies by Sorelle Amore on youtube a couple of years back.

That’s what honestly made me want to try to take my own pictures and started doing that.

Then a couple of months ago I saw a video by Lynette Adkins on how she takes her pictures and started incorporating her ways with mine and now I have my own way that works.

And hopefully, it can work with you as well

What Do You Need To Take Pictures By Yourself?

But before we start there are only a couple of things that you need:

1. Tripod (The Tripod that I use is from Amazon and has been doing pretty good for me. My Tripod)

2. Smartphone (Any smartphone works and they all have great cameras. I use my iPhone 11.)

3. Lens Buddy (This is an app that I heard someone else using I it has been a game changer instead of using a bluetooth button)

Making A Mood Board

Making a mood board honestly makes so much of a difference in my opinion with posing, finding locations, and more.

What I use to make a mood board is either Pinterest and make a board. Ill would also use the Instagram save feature and make a board on there.

How To Find The Right Locations

How I find locations to take pictures for Instagram is after I make a mood board I have an idea of what I’m looking for.

Then I’ll go on google maps and use that to look around the location and see how it looks before driving there.

Also find locations by when I’m driving around for anything and see a spot that would look good for pictures ill take a mental note.

Then go on google maps and do the same thing again.

Then once I’m at the location ill look for the best lighting preferably where there is shade so the sun isn’t too harsh.

Now that I have all of that situated now its time to set up the tripod and my phone and open the Lens Buddy App.

The app its self has a self-timer on it that you can change around and select a certain amount of pictures to take too.

The settings that I have is I have it take pictures every 0.5 seconds and have it take 30 pictures.

Poses If Youre Not Photogenic

Trying to be photogenic can be really tough but there are some poses that I like to do when I’m not feeling as photogenic.

  1. The Look Around Pose

Tbh this is my go-to pose all the time.

2. The walking Pose

This pose is simple you’re essentially just walking away from the camera.

With just these two tips there are so many different ways that you can combine them.

Now once I’m done taking the pictures I will look at them while I’m there and change around things that need to be fixed.

And once I’m actually done I then go home and edit them using Lightroom.

If you guys want me to go through how I edit my pictures let me know.

Also if this helped you or know someone that will get help from this share this post.
